Awakening Records is pleased to announce the release of the world's first animated peace music video. ‘Palestine will be Free' is produced by Chase Animation and features a song performed by Awakening's latest music sensation - Maher Zain.

Chase Animation's clients have included Sony Entertainment, PlayStation 3, BBC, Disney Channel and they were also commissioned to produce an animation for the BBCs sports personality of the year - Lewis Hamilton.

This is the first time an animated peace music video has been produced on Palestine: "We are recognised as pioneers and constantly pushing the bounds of creativity and innovation. This animated music video for our new star artist Maher Zain is just another step in that direction and certainly not the last", said Bara Kherigi, Director of Awakening Records. Destined to be an international success, the video features the story of a young brave Palestinian girl who never loses hope for a better future despite the harsh realities surrounding her.

Maher Zain - the Swedish Muslim artist signed to Awakening Records has become a music sensation overnight. His album 'Thank You Allah' is being launched in August and will be on sale in over 25 countries. Maher is already inundated with concert requests from the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, and beyond. Maher previously worked as music producer with renowned R&B music producer RedOne in Sweden and in New York. Whilst in New York, Maher worked with chart-topping artist Kat DeLuna on her debut album '9 Lives' which included smash hits such as 'Run The Show' and 'Whine Up'.

July saw Mesut Kurtis play three live concerts with Human Appeal International, an NGO Charity organisation with its headquarters based in UAE.

His Australia tour saw him play to over 10,000 people in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. He wowed the enthusiastic and highly appreciative crowd with a selection of tracks from his new album 'Beloved'.

Awakening has appointed Phenomenal PR - an award winning Saudi based PR agency to manage its communications strategy in the Middle East.

Phenomenal was ranked number 1 in 2009 in the Saudi Fast Growth 100. Its clients have included Porsche, Unilever, Puma, United Colours of Benetton amongst others.

Shadi Zahid, Founder & Managing Director of Phenomenal stated: "We are looking forward to working with Awakening and hope to take it to the next level."

Awakening has won its two-year long court case against World Islamic Goods Ltd – a London based distribution company managed by Mr. Wajahat Ali.

World Islamic Goods Ltd was the distribution partner of Awakening from 2003 to 2006 and failed to make payments for goods it bought under the distribution agreement. The court upheld the claim made by Awakening and ordered World Islamic Goods to pay damages to Awakening in addition to paying Awakening’s legal fees and further punitive damages.

In July 2009, AE2 artists Mesut Kurtis and Maher Zain were performing at the Sounds of Light concert tour in Australia at the invitation of Human Appeal International.

AE2 is the artist and event management division of Awakening worldwide (previously known as Awakening Entertainment) is leading the industry in Islamic entertainment.
